rambling and wide open spaces

The route knows no frontiers and blithely makes its way through different languages and cultures. On foot, mountain bike or on horseback, these are the best ways to familiarise yourself with a region, to understand its history and to meet its inhabitants.

When should you take to the trails? In spring and in summer, nature wakes up, flowers burst forth and flocks travel to the upper pastures. In autumn, forest and countryside become brightly coloured. The south winds give us wonderful days that are like an Indian summer. In winter, migrating birds populate the skies and the region’s many lakes. The crest itineraries offer wonderful views of the snow-capped Pyrenees.
